‘Tis the season for fun and Shreveport-Bossier’s Holidays on the Red is the place to be this winter for festive fun, holiday cheer, and a variety of events and activities!
BELIEVE! Lights the Night at Shreveport Aquarium is a magical journey through Christmas like never before. Visitors can receive a magical motion-activated Christmas wand and use it to turn on lights, play music, light up a fireplace, make reindeer footprints, jingle festive bells and more! There are opportunities to meet Santa, Mrs. Claus, the beautiful Snow Mermaid, Glacielle, and their mischievous elves! Over-the-top holiday sweaters or jammies are encouraged as you embark on this unforgettable journey.
BELIEVE! Lights the Night: Fridays – Sundays, Nov. 24 – Dec. 23
Sno-Port has returned to Sci-Port Discovery Center! It’s everyone’s favorite interactive science “playground” with snow-themed, science-based activities. The festive activities include a Sock Skating Rink, the Freeze Frame exhibit, Snowball Pong, the Igloo Experience, and more!

Christmas in Roseland is celebrating its 40th year at the American Rose Center! This beautiful winter wonderland is a family tradition in Shreveport-Bossier. Visitors can experience fireworks shows every Saturday in December, Santa in the garden for photos every night from 6-9 PM and ride the Roseland Express mini train! Not to mention roasting marshmallows, making s’mores, and so much more!

Radiance Technologies Independence Bowl is the pinnacle of nationally televised sports in North Louisiana. Gather at Independence Stadium for a full day of vibrant tailgating festivities and cheer on your favorite team. The Radiance Technologies Independence Bowl is not just about the game, though, it is about the whole bowl week experience! Fans can get the party started the night before the game with a trio of free events, including the Louisiana Travel Mardi Gras Preview Parade, Battle of the Marching Bands and a free concert on Friday, December 15.
